"Let the words of my mouth
and the meditations of my heart
be acceptable in your sight,
O Lord, my rock and my redeemer."

Campground Diversion
Last weekend we stayed at a campground that hosted a Ragnarok event. They put up a tent city on the hills at the back of the campground and we were able to go in Sunday evening and look around as they were setting up. I thought it was a Renaissance Fair, but although there were similarities, it was something quite different. Their website has some pictures of the battles and such. I went to the park office and they were printing out extra copies of directions to the local emergency room. They said that someone needs medical care at least once a day! We saw an ambulance going out before we left, so it must be pretty intense. Here are a few shots that I took.
And a couple items on Merchant's Row that took my eye.
Not to worry; I didn't purchase them. Tempting but....... ! Actually, that leather hooded cape could be quite nice in rainy Oregon.
Jon, funny you should mention the rendezvous. When we checked into the RV park, the lady in the office 'warned' us of the upcoming event and told us not to be surprised at the costumes. We told her about waking up to cannon fire and seeing the guys in loincloths. Now that was a surprise!
Janine, I'll keep you posted on the killdeer family. It really is quite a wonder to be able to observe them up close. Mom

Ooo Mom, that chainmail bikini would have looked great on you! Looks like an interesting and fun time. I'd love to hear more about it.
:)
That reminds me of the time we woke up in the pop-up trailer in the middle of a rendezvous in Iowa.
I hadn't ever seen a loincloth before.
