Those Intriguing Grandchildren

Backing up a bit.
As mentioned earlier, we spent a couple days with Jon and Jen before we came to Wisconsin and are looking forward to going back. It is so rewarding to me to be able to just watch the kids do what it is they do. I love it. So, camera in hand, that's what I did.

Dietrich with his African spear from Aunt Jodi. The boy is now 2" taller than his Grammy.

Anna loves Elle. The feeling is mutual.

Emily, waiting for the brats to come off the grill.
I wonder what she's thinking.

Nora, perched on Grampy's tool box.

Another tailgater on the street.
This started several years ago during football season and is becoming a tradition.

Octopus for lunch, anyone?
They gobbled them up!
I must say, when they finally convinced me to try one, it tasted ...not bad.
A little bouncy, as Jon described clams when he was 3 or so, but not bad.

Ok, there are no photos of the little one. As this was the first we had seen her since she was 3 months old (she is now 16 months), I took enough pictures of her for a post of her own!
Coming soon.
