West on Highway 2: Montana

Good Morning, Montana

We awoke to a sweet smelling, rain freshened morning, a perfect, quiet time with only the morning song of the birds to be heard, and as I stood with my coffee in hand a Still Small Voice spoke to me the words from Lamentations 3, "...His mercies are new every morning..." . So I looked up the reference and read those words in their context:

"Remember my affliction and my wandering, the wormwood and the gall. My soul continually remembers it and is bowed down within me. But this I call to mind, therefore I have hope: The steadfast love of the Lord never ceases; His mercies never come to an end; they are new every morning; great is Your faithfulness. 'The Lord is my portion,' says my soul, 'therefore I will hope in Him.' "

I stand in awe. Great is our God.

And so, with a full heart and an open road to be traveled,
we continued on our way through the beauty that is Montana.

Big fields and big sky....
... big clouds ....
... and small towns (Chester, MT) ....

... stopping at numerous salvage yards looking for a part for Jon's car...

...and continuing west towards the mountains that are home to Glacier National Park ...

... eventually stopping where a small stream joins the Middle Fork of the Flathead River which provided the background music...

... as I soaked up the wonder of God's landscaping and was reminded by these beauties of the words of Jesus to "Consider the lilies of the field.." Matthew 6:28-31

What a Glorious day.
Amen and Amen
